Significance:
High rise buildings above fourth floor are advised to have a fire hydrant system (the system where water is used through pipes and pumps to extinguish a fire.) In many cases it is seen that till the time fire brigade reaches the spot it is very late. It is therefore this course is designed to train ERT (Emergency Response Team) members in both Basic as well as Major fire fighting techniques. Hydrant system can prove to be very helpful to extinguish a major fire and save people and property of the premises.
